PGI recognizes valuable contributions to the science and profession of geology through annual awards given to geologists and their supporters. These awards have most recently been given at the annual spring Barbeque and Gathering of Indiana Geologists. No awards were given in the year 2000 because the award ceremonies were moved from autumn to spring. Aawards have not yet been given in 2007 because the ceremonies are moving back to the fall Annual Membership meeting.
