PGI encourages geoscience education and research for students of any age, both within school or outside, whether amateur or professional, and in any walk of life, whether scientist, member of government, academician, or the general public. Many decisions we face on the Earth today are rooted in geological issues that can be best addressed by an informed public working together with knowledgeable professionals to make wise choices for our world.
We are strongly motivated to provide the best possible resources for geological education and opportunities for interacting with professional geologists. PGI participates in a number of educational activities. To participate in these activities, contact PGI's Earth Science Education Committee.
